Our colleagues are celebrating LGBT+ History Month at London Bridge station with the Pride Pillar.

The station team at London Bridge has worked with Archway, our employee network for promoting, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) inclusion at Network Rail, on an art installation aimed at educating people about LGBT+ flags and communities.

You’ll be able to spot the Pride Pillar throughout February, when LGBT+ History Month takes place – and seeks to share rich and diverse history with everyone.

You’ll see the Progressive and the original Gilbert Baker flags take pride of place in the centre of the pillar, with individual community pride flags wrapped around the base.

We hope displaying the flags will help prevent confusion and misunderstanding about identity. We also hope it will act as a discussion point to tackle LBGT issues, promote conversation and serve an educational focal point.

The Pride Pillar will also help show you and our colleagues that our stations are safe and inclusive environments.
