Tips for cycling and storing your bike safely at our stations
Cycling is one of the best ways to get from A to B. It’s fun, free and good for you.
With more people starting to cycle in cities across Britain, we’ve teamed up with Cycling UK to help new cyclists find convenient places to park their bikes at our stations.
Together, we’re offering practical tips on how to store your bike securely, information on safer cycle routes around each station and other helpful resources.
Bike storage locations
Our 20 managed stations offer plenty of convenient storage spaces for you to leave your bike before heading onto your next destination. Visit our managed stations to find out more.
Visit National Rail Enquires for other bike storage location information.
Storing your bike securely
To avoid your bike being stolen or damaged, it’s important to store and lock it properly to the stand. Cycling UK offers simple and practical tips on how to keep your bike safe:
If your bike is missing, or you spot something suspicious, contact the British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or text 616016.
Safer cycle routes
As a new cyclist, we understand that navigating your way out of a station can feel quite daunting. We want to help those using our bike storage feel safer and more confident on the roads. The Cycling UK website has an interactive journey planner that will help you plot a cycle-friendly route from the station.
